Unspoken and Playground
I’ll always remember the first time I heard myself on the radio. We’d just played at Slim’s in San Francisco and were separately driving the hour and a half home to Sacramento. Orrey called, “Turn on 98 Rock!” and there we were. It was surreal!
When we were coming up, you could post your songs on SoundCloud and MySpace. But really, we were selling CDs with handwritten song names on them. There was no CD Baby or DistroKid. You could say we were scrappy- I mean, I made our first logo out of tape.
So, tonight, on the eve of the streaming release of “Unspoken” and “Playground,” I’m filled with the same awe and wonder as I felt hearing us play on 98 Rock in the fall of 2010. We felt like it was time to be in the present, so now, you can say, “Hey, Alexa! Play Exhale” anywhere, anytime. Let me know what you think :)
